Introduction to libptytty

The libptytty package provides a library that allows for OS independent and secure pty/tty and utmp/wtmp/lastlog handling.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-11.1 platform.

Installation of libptytty

Install libptytty by running the following commands: 

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr     \
      -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release      \
      -DPT_UTMP_FILE:STRING=/run/utmp \
      .. &&
make

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user: 

make install
